Ben, think about this. This isnt what she wants. I always thought you were such a good dad, but this is cruel. She won’t go with the angels, and you know it. She might be an angel, but even angels fall. She killed herself, and suicide is a sin. Heaven doesnt care why you killed yourself, suicide is suicide. Even her with me has to be better than her going to hell. I have done some horrible things, some terrible despicable things, but I am not the actual devil. I am a messed up teenage boy who loves your daughter more than anything ever. Darkness is attracted to light, Ben. If something as tame as me in the grand scheme of things loves Violet as much as I do, how much attention do you think the actual devil will pay her?

Look Tate- I know you love my daughter. She’s very beautiful and has a great personality. But you’re the darkness- she was right all along. Violet is making a huge mistake by forgiving you. You’ll do something else that will hurt her-and there’s nothing you can do about it. The woman I hired is going to make sure Violet will be safe. Don’t worry about it. I don’t need to see her again- as long as I know she’s resting in peace.
